Fishing the White Mountains of New Hampshire is a treat for whoever tries it. Rivers in the White Mountains to try are the Ammonoosuc, Pemigewasset, Mad, East Branch of the Pemigewasset, Swift, and Saco Rivers, to name a few. Of special note to our friends who enjoy hiking into fish small brooks and ponds we'd recommend the East Branch of the Pemigewasset River. Almost any of the feeder streams will take you on an adventure you won't soon forget. The Brook Trout will not be large, but they are plentiful and some of the views you'll get while fishing these "hike in" ponds and brooks will be spectacular! Bring a camera. We would suggest you get yourself a DeLorme map and explore. Another great tool is the State of New Hampshire Fish and Game web site which has the stocking lists. |

]My twin boys (12) have never fished in a remote area all excited they are both scouts and we will leave everything the way we find it. thank you so much for getting back so soon to us We should be up next week. We will make to get permission first though. Thanks Again Marty Trymbulak, PS what do you suggest we will be using live bait any suggestions? Hi Marty Worms fished slow and deep are probably the most effective. Try a worm on a bobber, fished 4 feet down ,also. The trout cruise the shorelines and patience is key! Enjoy yourselves.
